In the early summer of 2010, I started thinking about an outfit for the MFW this
year. In the last few years, I had been spending most of my latex money on Phoenix,
but due to circumstances, this time I could think of myself. I saw a gas-mask I liked
(by Rubberina) and it inspired me - this was a bit risky, because I was going to
order pieces from Blackstyle and Catalyst Latex and combine it with latex from Polymorphe
I already owned - but I was doing this in my head, and I wasn't certain how it would
look when actually combined. I wanted TE with a splash of color with lots of buckles,
but I wanted to avoid a "gimpy" look.

So over the next month or so the gear trickled in (a bit nerve wracking at times due
to a few small snafus) and when I finally put it on, I was very happy how it looked!
It was particularly intense, physically speaking, so to be sure I could last an entire
party I wore it for about 4 hours. This lead to interesting "sensory echoes" at work
the following day, but it was bearable. The harness (from Blackstyle) in particular
was somewhat heavy, so I went to a few local parties wearing it to get used to it.

I had mentioned this outfit to a friend of mine who's a rather skilled amateur photographer,
and while he isn't kinky per say he is kink friendly, and he's always up for a challenge,
so he offered to do a shoot in his studio. So in mid august, with the assistance of
his lovely wife, we did so.

I'll frankly admit that my friend is much more skilled than I. For example, he knows
what exact position people would take to look good and dynamic etc... problem is,
those pose are unnatural. Like "bend your knees, puff your chess, shoulders forward..."
that's not normal! And yet it totally works. I was quite sore the following day...
I have much more respects for models now!

After 3 hours, I was quite tired, but we were all quite pleased with the results. I
suspected I would want to remove the mask at a party after a while, so we also took
a few shots without - it worked better than I expected!

I am very happy how this shoot went. Although it was a lot of work, the images are
very good - my friend is good at directing and a wizard with post processing. I have
a ways to go I see! I am very thankful for all his efforts,, and if you want to see
more of his work you can do so here (keep in mind though that he isn't a fetish
photographer.)

I hope you enjoyed the text and juxtaposition of images on the main page. I know it
wasn't how I usually do it, but I thought perhaps it could be neat to do it that way.
Because after all, Fetish, it's serious business!

EDIT:

A friend of mine (L8txAngel, I blame you!) created this. Andy Warhol must be spinning
in his grave - or calling his lawyer. The photographer was quite amused, incidentally :D
